Energiesprong Germany launches accelerator program for serial retrofit solutions
Energiesprong Germany, coordinated by the German Energy Agency (dena), launches a program to accelerate the development of serial remediation solutions. The goal of this accelerator program is to develop existing approaches to powerful, scalable and cost-effective solutions. In this way the rising amount of housing associations which are urgently looking for new, industrial renovation solutions are being served. The program offers coaching by international Energiesprong experts, several workshops and pitch events with construction and housing industries, as well as financial support up to 180,000 euros – 36,000 euros per general contractor.
Applications are possible until 08.11.2019 atwww.energiesprong.de/accelerator.
The accelerator program is supported by the European Mustbe0 project, funded by Interreg NWE.
General contractors and component manufacturers wanted
So far, there are still no scalable serial retrofit solutions for residential buildings in the German market. The program is therefore aimed at general contractors, i.e. companies that completely implement the construction process. The aim of the applicants should be to further develop their business model and to offer a one-stop solution for energy suppliers as a full-range supplier. This solution must be standardisable and scalable, offer cost reduction potential with increasing quantities and be easy to implement for tenants. The solution must also guarantee in the long term that the refurbished buildings produce as much energy as they need for heating, hot water and household appliances (net zero standard).
Furthermore, the program is aimed at component manufacturers who want to offer prefabricated insulated facades, prefabricated insulated roofs with photovoltaic technology or plug-and-play solutions for the entire system technology and to optimize existing approaches. Companies that cover multiple areas can apply for multiple roles.
The detailed requirements and conditions of participation can be downloaded after an informal registration on www.energiesprong.de/accelerator. On September 24, 2019, questions about the program and the required concepts can be clarified in the context of a webinar.
